Before you visit

A few
good questions.

What is included in the Signature Session?

Your 90-minute appointment includes a one-to-one consultation, an individual treatment plan, 60 minutes of external abdominal massage and a period drink. Any recommended tests, supplements or additional treatments are separate and discussed before you decide.

Where is the clinic, and when can I book?

Find Flow & Bloom at 3/11 Village Way, Currumbin Valley, in the Currumbin Eco Village. Appointments are currently available on Fridays. Fresha shows the available times in Queensland local time.

Is the massage internal?

No. The massage included in this session is external abdominal bodywork. Pressure and suitability are discussed with you before treatment.

What if I’ve just had endometriosis surgery?

Your recovery comes first. Please contact Stef before booking and get clearance from your surgical team before abdominal massage. Timing depends on your procedure and how you’re healing. There’s no one-size-fits-all waiting period. We can discuss your cycle concerns and next steps while you recover; hands-on treatment can wait until it’s appropriate for you.

What testing or treatment can we discuss?

Depending on your needs: cycle blood testing, temperature tracking, gut or mineral testing, supplements, lifestyle changes and clinically assessed IV infusions. We’ll explain the options and any additional costs before you decide.

What about pelvic tension or a healed scar?

Tell Stef about any pelvic tightness or pulling around a healed scar. She’ll discuss whether external abdominal work is appropriate or specialised scar care or pelvic-floor physiotherapy would be more suitable.

What are the traditional roots of abdominal bodywork?

Maya midwives in Yucatán have used sobada, including abdominal massage, in reproductive and maternity care. Chinese medicine has its own massage tradition, tuina. These distinct traditions form part of the wider history of hands-on care; they are not evidence of this treatment’s effectiveness.

Can abdominal massage help with period pain?

Research suggests it may help some women. A 2025 randomised trial found lower pain scores with massage than in a control group in women with primary dysmenorrhoea (period pain without an identified underlying condition). A smaller abdominal-massage trial reported improvements in some symptoms but no difference on its overall pain scale. These studies did not test this exact clinic treatment, and relief cannot be guaranteed. Persistent or severe pain deserves medical assessment.

Do I need to be trying for a baby?

No. The appointment is also for women who want time to discuss their menstrual health and enjoy restorative abdominal bodywork. You do not need to be planning a pregnancy.

What happens at my first appointment?

We start with your symptoms, cycle, health history and goals. Your appointment pairs a hormone-health consultation with a 60-minute womb and fertility massage, followed by a finishing drink. Allow 90 minutes in total.

Can I book if I’m pregnant or having fertility treatment?

Please contact Stef before booking if you are pregnant, could be pregnant or are undergoing fertility treatment. Your circumstances and your treating team’s advice need to be considered before abdominal bodywork.

What if I’m on my period or have a health condition?

Ask Stef about timing and suitability before your appointment. Let her know about your current symptoms, recent surgery and relevant medical history so the treatment can be assessed for you.

Does fertility massage improve my chances of pregnancy?

This is supportive wellbeing care. Massage has not been established as a treatment that improves conception or live-birth rates. It does not replace fertility assessment or treatment, and we do not promise pregnancy outcomes.

How do I book, and where can I see the booking terms?
